I will be honest, going in to this shoot, I wasn’t sure how I would like it. Up until this, I had only ever shot maternity, baby or families. Never Seniors.
High school was always such an awkward time for me. While I didn’t hate it, I never really loved it either. And I wondered if I would truly enjoy delving back into that age group or if it would bring up all of the insecurities I carried around with me during those four years.
Let me just say, Madeline was a dream. She and her family were sweet, accommodating, flexible (our first session was down-poured out!) and they had the prettiest property to shoot on. I enjoyed this session so much that I am considering pursuing more Seniors in this coming year. I loved having just one person to focus on, I loved seeing her individual style (I need to take some serious pointers when it comes to fashion from the Seniors these days–holy cow, they know what’s up!) and I loved watching her personality unfold more and more as the session progressed.
P.S. Check out her eyes! Just try and not stare at them….do they even come in a prettier shade than that?
Madeline and family, thank you for putting your trust in me and allowing me to capture this time for you. I wish you the best of luck with the remaining of your year and may God open many future pathways for you to follow as you journey into this next phase of life!
