I hope everyone is staying warm and dry on this very icy and snowy day! My boys have been watching the weather like three little hawks, waiting eagerly for the flakes to fall. Their excitement is contagious, and I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I have been watching and waiting with just as much anticipation. We love the snow! Buuuuut, I am conflicted because I also LOVE the sunshine. Especially when it means family adventures, swimming, popsicles and ice coffee—oh, and of course, beautiful families that frolic through flower fields with me.
I am now officially booking my spring and summer sessions! I say this every year–if you are hoping to snag a spot on my schedule, now is definitely the time to reach out! As the years have gone on and my boys have grown older, my availability has naturally become more limited. I love what I get to do–it’s a dream, really, but part of the dream is also being able to stay involved and present in the lives and activities of my own kiddos. It truly breaks my heart when I have to turn anyone away. So please, don’t drag your feet in scheduling this year, even if you think it’s too early to reach out, trust me, it’s not.
And when you do reach out and we get you on my schedule. Start preparing your family for photos like this. I have been blessed with working with this family for many years now, practically from the beginning. I love that they know to just show up and allow the session to unfold as it naturally does. We quickly try to grab that one shot with everyone looking and smiling (if the littles allow it) and then we move on all the precious details of what makes your family who they are in the very moment. They move with the flow and in return, we capture this beauty.
