Outdoor Newborn Session {Vancouver, Wa Newborn Photographer}

Adding a sweet little one to your family and life is both beautiful and precious in every way possible. And personally, I feel like it is so important to document those early days when night mingles too closely with day, and everything seems to be in a dreamlike trance. Because…..I’ve said it a million times before, those moments come and go all too quickly! And before you know it, the frog legs stop hinging up to the chest when you pick them up, and those cries get stronger and louder, while the teeny-tiny fingers that wrap around your fingers grow in strength right along with their cries. Whenever I get invited and welcomed into your space to document those dreamy days, it is not lost on me what an honor it is. Truly, it means so much to me. However, with that said, I know inviting someone into your home isn’t always easy and might even feel overwhelming, I completely get it! And you know what, there is a wonderful option just for you! We can easily move things outdoors and it just might be the most perfect solution for you! I shoot my sessions the same, always, always going with the flow of your baby first and foremost. I will find a location that be just as captivating to look at as your precious bundle is. Trust me, we will still be able to capture all of those sweet, intimate details but with the warm, glowy, gorgeousness light to highlight it all. I take great care when working with my littlest and most delicate clients. 🙂

This is exactly what we did for this family. I had done their previous two newborn sessions within the walls of their own home. And they asked if we could switch it up outdoors instead! I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough! I can always count on them to come styled perfectly to add the cherry on top of their session! Did you know that I offer a free online stylist for all of my sessions? It’s incredibly helpful, so much so, that I always utilize for myself planning or own family photos. For those that are visual people (like myself) it is a very helpful tool in making sure what you are wearing will photograph the very best! For newborn sessions, I often recommend going with creamy neutrals–as they tend to be the most flattering on baby’s skin. And that is just what this adorable family did!
