Mama and Me Session (Vancouver, Wa family photographer)

My heart’s desire for this session was to capture the essence of motherhood. I wanted to see the emotion, the joy and the love that stems from being a mama. Because when dreams become reality, there just isn’t anything sweeter to capture. My nieces and sister in law are helping me kick off the campaign of getting more moms in the frame. Of capturing the millions of moments that make up every days that go left undocumented. The way dimply hands grasp mama’s hair, the unexpected kisses, tender looks and also the directions that fall on selectively deaf ears–don’t worry it happens at pretty much every session. Plus, they are about the cutest girls to model for me. I actually did the littlest’s newborn photos when I first got started.

Being a mama is messy sometimes, it falls short of perfection daily….but it also produces an untouched joy deep within. I want to help tell your story.

These sessions are just that. I let them unfold, I give some directions and then we play and twirl and laugh and hug. And they are genuinely becoming my favorite. All you mama’s, wipe that spilled milk off your sleeve and come document your most precious memories, the memories of you with the ones who made you a mama.
